Here we have a one owner from new,  Samick SU-105, re-badged for the large music retailer Cranes of Cardiff. The serial# HHD00211 points to the piano being  a Korean‑built SU105 from the late 1980s, specifically 1988 with the ‘HH’ reference. The model features the imperial German scale design, german hammer felt, Roslau strings with a warm, even tone. The compact size is suitable for beginners to intermediate players.

It is in excellent condition and internal action is pristine indicating very little use. It is fairly compact in terms of depth but relatively wide at 148cm which has allowed for longer strings in the lower register giving a warm, resonant bass. The case is in excellent order and although it has only two pedals it does have a manual celeste rail for quiet practice, which is hand-operated by opening the lid at the top.

This is a very well-presented Hermann Mayr upright piano, standing at 112 cm and finished in a warm mahogany cabinet. This instrument is from the original Hermann Mayr factory, made in Belarus, dated circa 1990 and carrying serial number 736582.  It’s a solid, reliable instrument that has just been professionally regulated and tuned to concert pitch, making it ready for immediate use.

The piano is in good all-round condition throughout. There is some fading to the polyester, but barely noticeable and some minor scratching to the nameboard that we were unable to remove. This really does not detract from the overall look of the piano.  The action feels responsive and well‑balanced, the tone is surprisingly lovely for its size, and it plays smoothly across the whole keyboard. It’s an ideal choice for beginners, improvers, or anyone looking for a dependable upright with a pleasing tone and a clean, attractive appearance.
